About the course
Painting and Powder Coating is always treated as a special process, and becomes a bottleneck in the industrial manufacturing operations. The right techniques and the correct application process is generally not known to the industry, hence major customer complaints arise from Aesthetics and Corrosion issues that become major hindrances for exporting our products. Our products are nicely engineered and technically superior than some of major exporting countries, but we fail to impress the customers with their looks and durability.
The present Indian scenario for coating education/ qualification is not very healthy. The educational level at Degree/Diploma in the coating field is very good. However we are producing only 100-120 qualified professionals per annum, who mostly get absorbed by Paint manufacturing Industries or Auto giants. Thus other industries do not get qualified coating professionals to work for them.
TÜV Rheinland, a well known name in education world-wide with their educational certifications have global recognition and National Institute of Coating Technology (NICT) Pune, are operating specially designed 5 Level Industrial Protective Coating courses to impart knowledge to technicians in Indian Industry for bridging the gap to compete at the global levels. These courses are tailored for Indian industrial conditions, and cover the nitty-gritty’s of Coating Application procedures to the International Standards. The other known international courses on this subject deal mainly with marine and shipbuilding coating and corrosion procedures and inspections.
This course is specially designed to handle the day-to-day challenges we face in our industries in India. For delivery of these courses, NICT has tied up with experts having vast national and international experience of more than 250 cumulative years. These internationally qualified professionals with SSPC (USA), NACE and FROSIO accreditation have designed the courses and also deliver them as instructors.
