The 49th Annual General Meeting of UCCI was organised on virtual platform due to restrictions of Covid-19 pandemic. Only the candidates contesting in the elections, Past Presidents and Election Committee were present physically at the Shri P P Singhal Auditorium this year. Rest of the members joined in from remote locations. This was the first time in the history of the chamber that the AGM were held through video conferencing. Also elections were held through e-voting system as a first.
President Elect Shri Komal Kothari ji in his address thanked the members and attendees and took the charge of the President of UCCI from outgoing President Shri Ramesh Kumar Singhvi. He stated the need of bolstering the processes and grievance redressal of members. He also mentioned the remaining short period of 7 months for this tenure as the elections which were supposed to take place last June were delayed. He assured that the new Executive Committee will pursue the developmental activities with doubled vigor.
