Manufacturing Excellence Award


The designated “Excellence Awards” for  manufacturing is to recognize organization for the contribution of their mentors in creating a modal of business excellence through demonstrated vision and leadership, ethical practices and professionalism, creation of economic growth, benefits to other businesses and creation of employment in South Rajasthan and the impact of their contribution to the community.

The Excellence Awards is UCCI’s tribute to the organizations that promote “Good Manufacturing Practices” to augment culture of innovation, customer delight, business achievements, expansion of markets – domestic and offshore, overcoming adversarial market demands through alternate alignments, employee attention & retention, establishing good business systems and endeavor for community well-being.

Selection Methodology of Designated Awards for Manufacturing Sector

  1. Applications Sorting : The applications were first sorted for each  of the categories, based on the Eligibility  Criteria and information submitted. A unique code number was assigned to maintain impartiality and neutral assessment of all applicants.
  2. Data Compilation : All quantitative data were assessed and computed in separate matrix for each category.
  3. Calculation of the Selection Parameters : The numbers for each of the parameters were calculated and entered.
  4. Ranking :  For each Award Category, the data were put through several filters to determine the ranking of the company for each of parameters and the rank entered therein.
  5. Listing by Ranking : The  10 top ranking companies in each category for each of the parameters were segregated and then the companies short-listed with the ranks stated for each parameter.
  6. Marking Algorithm : Based on the marking algorithm fixed, the marks for each attribute were assigned and the total marks for each the company arrived at.
  7. Short-Listing of Companies by Aggregate Marks : The companies were listed in descending order of total marks. Based on aggregate of marks, top 10% or min. 4 companies for each Award Category were short-listed for final assessment by a panel of jury.
  8. Final Evaluation : These short-listed companies in each category were evaluated and assessed collectively by the jury at an undisclosed neutral venue. Additional considerations for other qualitative factors of the initiatives and achievements such as Key Customers, No. of countries Exported, Region of Exports, and Business profile of the company. Were also given weightage.
